Making a Difference
CSConsult has been working with two very special groups of individuals looking to make a difference.
CSConsult helped to put together a WordPress Blogsite for the Belle Vale Prefabs Project which groups people with a common life experience of living in prefab housing communities after WWII.They have spent many hours putting together a collection of photographs and articles to share lifetime memories and experiences with the world. The Blogsite has helped people from all over the world to find old friends and compare notes on post war Liverpool.
CSConsult is involved with Katie's Readers, a wonderful "giving something back" project that allows anyone the possibility to donate used books to less fortunate children in developing countries. This project spans the world, has collaborators in four continents, and has already become quite active in Jordan, Indonesia and New Zealand.
Katie's Readers
The Katie's Readers Project works to collect gently used books from those who can afford them and pass them on to those who need them.
The project, although in very early days has grown to over five countries and underprivileged children have already benefit from the kindness of other children from all around the world.
Belle Vale Prefabs
The Belle Vale Prefabs Project brings together ex prefab dwellers from all over the world.
WordPress was configured with a number of additional plug-ins to allow the Committee to maintain the site themselves as well as producing and distributing the BVPP Newsletter electronically.
Soon, an e-commerce platform will be added tro the Blogsite to sell their Books and help fund the project.
